UZT Consultancy provides clear and practical support to individuals, families and businesses in a range of matters connected with the law of England and Wales. Depending on the nature of the service, we make a clear distinction between legal services that can be provided on an unreserved basis and services that need to be delivered through an authorised, SRA-regulated law firm.

Non-Reserved Legal Services

Many legal services in England and Wales are not “reserved legal activities”. Depending on the circumstances, these can include legal research, reviewing information and documents, preparing legal documents, written communications, contract support and general legal advice.

Examples of the support we may provide include:

- Drafting and reviewing legal documents

- Contract drafting, review and negotiation support

- Legal research and assistance with case strategy

- Drafting applications, statements, formal notices, demand letters and written communications

- Coordinating documents and processes connected with Turkey and England and Wales

- Out-of-court advice and document support in family, commercial, property, inheritance and other matters

- The scope of any such service is agreed clearly for each matter, taking account of the applicable regulatory framework.

Regulated Services and SRA-Regulated Solicitor Firms

Some services can only be carried out by authorised persons or regulated law firms. These may include reserved legal activities, such as representing a client in court, conducting litigation, certain property transactions, probate activities and the administration of oaths.

 

Immigration advice, claims-management services, and family-law or medical-negligence matters that require court representation or conduct of litigation must also be provided by an appropriately authorised organisation, depending on the nature of the work.

Where a matter requires such services, we may, where appropriate, assist with coordination with an independent SRA-regulated solicitor firm. If instructed, that firm will provide its services in its own name and will supply its own terms of business, fees, complaints procedure and regulatory information directly to you.

Family Law, Immigration and Medical Negligence Matters

In relation to English family-law matters, including divorce, financial-remedy and child-arrangements matters, support may be available with legal information, documents and case preparation. Where court representation, conduct of litigation or another regulated service is required, this will be provided by an authorised SRA-regulated solicitor firm.

 

Similarly, in immigration and medical-negligence matters, the organisation instructed will be identified according to the scope of the service and the regulatory authority required.

Your Rights and Regulatory Protection

Before work begins, we will make clear whether the service is being provided by UZT Consultancy or by a separate SRA-regulated solicitor firm. If you instruct an SRA-regulated firm, that firm’s regulatory obligations, professional-insurance arrangements and applicable complaints or redress mechanisms will apply.
