Legal Document Drafting and Legal Translation
Legal documents should be clear, accurate and appropriate for the institution or legal system in which they will be used. UZT Consultancy assists individuals, families and businesses with legal document drafting, review of existing texts, and coordination of Turkish–English legal translation.
Translation alone may not be enough. The purpose of the document, the country or institution in which it will be used, the parties’ authority and any notarial, apostille or consular formalities may all need to be considered.

Legal Document Drafting
Every document should be prepared for its intended context. A power of attorney, court statement, company resolution or application to an official authority may each involve different requirements concerning purpose, authority and procedure. We assist in drafting or reviewing documents with the proposed transaction and the parties’ needs in mind.
Legal Translation and Bilingual Documents
In legal translation, it is important not only to find equivalent words but also to preserve the document’s legal meaning and function. For Turkish and English texts, consistency between the two versions is particularly important in relation to names, dates, authority and key obligations.
Where official use requires a sworn translation, notarial certification, an apostille or another form of authentication, we provide guidance on the appropriate steps. Any required official translation is obtained separately through an authorised translator or relevant service provider.
Support for Clients Living Abroad
For clients outside Turkey, we provide guidance on powers of attorney and other documents prepared through a Turkish consulate or local notary, and assist with coordination of apostille formalities, document collection, translation and use in Turkey.
If you require a legal document to be drafted, reviewed or coordinated in Turkish and English, please contact us to discuss its purpose and intended use.
